While the Fall Festival has historically been a rain or shine event, the shift in the forecast overnight has us reminiscent of the 2023 Festival when we got caught on the outskirts of Tropical Storm Ophelia. Not only was it wet, but the wind had the few vendors who did show up holding onto their tents to keep them from blowing away in the wind.
With both the increase in precipitation tomorrow and especially the 17 mph winds (with anticipated gusts up to 35 mph), we have made the tough decision to cancel tomorrow's event. This decision was made with everyone's safety and best interests in mind.
We are working to contact each vendor individually; but wanted to get this notice out there ASAP to inform everyone who was planning to attend, too. We appreciate everyone's continued support of the Fall Festival and hope to come back stronger than ever next year!
